Welcome to the Cohen Lab in the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at UNC – Chapel Hill. We use cutting-edge microscopy, including live-cell, superresolution, and multispectral imaging to study how lipids (fats) move within and between cells. This work has implications for a variety of metabolic and neurodegenerative diseases.

Organelle Movement through the Cell

We are grateful that our research is made possible by generous support from the National Institutes of Health, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the Paul G. Allen Frontiers Group, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the WoodNext Foundation.
