A Note for Prospective Trainees
The Cohen Lab is a recently established lab and is actively recruiting! Prospective students should apply to the UNC Biological and Biomedical Sciences program here. Prospective postdocs should email Sarah directly at sarahcoh[at]med.unc.edu with a statement of research interests, CV, and contact information for 3 references.
Our lab focuses on big questions in cell biology, particularly: what are the proximate and ultimate causes of lipid movement within and between cells? What are the metabolic and neurodegenerative consequences of mistakes in lipid movement? How can biologists use microscopy to better understand how molecules and organelles traffic through cells? We anticipate that prospective trainees will have overlapping interests in some of these areas.
