We are very glad to have Greg Miner as a new addition to the lab! Greg obtained Bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Washington at Seattle in 2012 and his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2018. Welcome Greg!

We are extremely honored to have been awarded a research grant from the Alzheimer’s Association . We are looking forward to beginning the proposed research studying the trafficking of ApoE in astrocytes derived from human induced pluripotent stem cells.

Sarah published a review with Alex Valm and Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz summarizing recent advances in the field of organelle interactions. Check it out here.

Sarah presented the lab’s work at FASEB Lipid Droplets on the Move from Health to Disease. It was a great meeting with lots of exciting science, moose sightings, and even a relaxing trip to Strawberry Park Hot Springs!

Ian has passed his written qualifying exam. Congratulations Ian!
